Make a gift to Deaf Spotlight, and it will go to support the following valuable community programs:
CREATIVE ARTS CAMP
For youth ages 8-13 who are Deaf, Hard of hearing, or Children of Deaf Adults (KODAs). Deaf artists will provide a hands-on exploration of a rich variety of artistic mediums in a supervised and Deaf-friendly environment.
Deaf Spotlight produces both solo and group exhibitions featuring emerging and experienced #deaftalent artists and their works.
DEAF SPOTLIGHT PRESENTS
Deaf Spotlight produces theatre or a theatre festival every two years, featuring works by Deaf playwrights, and brought to life by Deaf artists, actors, and theatre-makers.
SEATTLE DEAF FILM FESTIVAL
During even years, Deaf Spotlight will host the Seattle Deaf Film Festival. Deaf Spotlight believes in cultivating a vibrant community of emerging and experienced Deaf filmmakers, actors, and producers; and welcome any filmmakers from the Deaf community to participate.
Deaf Spotlight's vehicle to revitalize Deaf cultural gatherings, where people share poems and tell stories in American Sign Language (ASL). This is part of a long-time tradition that has its roots in Deaf Clubs and Deaf schools, which go back several generations. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to see, support and develop a larger pool of performers and poets who celebrate ASL.
Deaf Spotlight inspires, encourages, and showcases creative works of, by, and for Deaf people in the Pacific Northwest through events that celebrate Deaf culture and American Sign Language.
